Domina Costruzioni creates modern housing solutions that combine comfort, safety, and functionality with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Our residential projects stand out for their excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, energy efficiency, and use of eco-compatible materials. Each home is designed to meet the daily needs of residents, ensuring well-planned spaces and optimal performance in terms of energy consumption.
We have focused particularly on the construction of residential buildings, creating housing solutions that respond to modern needs for comfort, safety, and functionality. Domina Costruzioni has committed to building structures that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offer well-designed spaces capable of satisfying the daily needs of residents, while guaranteeing excellent performance in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation, energy consumption, and environmental impact.
The Roots of Our Service
The residential construction work at Domina Costruzioni originates from a history spanning more than a century. When Massimo Pellino began working with local tuff stone in 1900, he was already laying the foundations of what would become our DNA: building houses that stand the test of time, that are in harmony with the territory, that use local materials. His son Cristoforo carried forward this vision by constructing thousands of homes in the municipalities of Arzano and Frattamaggiore, but with an additional element that today we would call “social impact.” He didn’t just build houses, he built opportunities, creating accessible financing solutions for low-income families. This social spirit still permeates our approach to residential construction today.
What “Sustainable” Means for Domina Costruzioni
When we talk about sustainability, we’re not following a passing trend. Our interpretation of sustainability develops across three interconnected levels that make our service truly comprehensive.
The first level is environmental, the most immediate to understand. Domina Costruzioni integrates solutions into every residential project that drastically reduce environmental impact. This means using eco-compatible materials, just as our ancestors used local tuff because it was the most intelligent choice for the territory. It means designing buildings with orientations studied to maximize natural light and reduce energy requirements. It means installing heat pump heating systems, photovoltaic panels with storage batteries, and creating building envelopes with thermal cladding that transform each home into an efficient system that consumes very little.
The second level is that of living comfort. A building can be perfectly sustainable from an energy standpoint, but if people aren’t comfortable in it, it makes no sense. We design spaces that respond to the real daily needs of residents. Thermal insulation doesn’t just serve to save energy, but to ensure warmth in winter and coolness in summer. Acoustic insulation means being able to live in peace even in dense urban contexts. The layout of spaces, brightness, and functionality are all elements we study to create homes where people can truly live well.
The third level is that of economic and social sustainability. Here Cristoforo Pellino’s legacy clearly emerges. A sustainable home must also be accessible, must create long-term value for families. Our renovation projects with the Superbonus perfectly demonstrate this approach: we have enabled dozens of condominiums and owners to transform their houses into modern and efficient homes without having to bear unsustainable costs. Look at the list of construction sites from 2023: Condominio Palazzo Pellino, Condominio Minimo Il Tulipano, Condominio Parco La Giada. These are all projects where we brought energy efficiency, seismic safety, and modern comfort to existing buildings, concretely improving people’s lives.
Our Design Methodology
What distinguishes our approach to sustainable residential construction is the process by which we arrive at the final result. We never start from pre-packaged solutions, but develop each project on a custom basis. This means that in the initial phase we dedicate time to listening to the client, to understanding their specific needs. A young family with children has different requirements from an elderly couple or an investor who wants to create apartments for rent. We consider all these variables.
In the design phase we integrate all components of sustainability from the very beginning. It’s not that we first design the building and then add a solar panel as an accessory. Sustainability is intrinsic to the project: we study the orientation relative to the sun, calculate thermal masses, choose materials not only for their technical performance but also for their origin and the energy needed to produce them. We design intelligent building systems that communicate with each other to optimize consumption.
During construction we maintain that meticulous attention to quality that we inherited from our master masons. Every phase is constantly monitored, from material selection to attention to finishes. This continuous control allows us to ensure that what we designed on paper becomes reality at the construction site, without those deviations that often compromise the final performance of buildings.
Concrete Results
The construction sites completed in 2023 tell a clear story. We worked on eighteen different residential projects, all completed successfully. These numbers are not random: they represent families who today live in houses that are warmer in winter and cooler in summer, who pay much lower utility bills, who have better acoustic comfort, who live in buildings that are safer from a seismic standpoint. They represent an environmental impact reduced in measurable ways: fewer carbon dioxide emissions, less energy consumption from fossil sources, more energy produced from renewable sources directly on building rooftops.
Our Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, our sustainable residential construction service is evolving toward the integration of increasingly intelligent technologies. Our vision speaks of smart homes, of home automation systems that automatically optimize consumption, of buildings that are not only passive but active in managing energy resources. Think of buildings that not only consume little energy, but that produce more energy than they consume, that store this energy and share it with the grid at times of greatest need.
But technology doesn’t make us forget the human aspect. We continue to place people’s wellbeing at the center, the creation of communities, the improvement of quality of life. A sustainable residential building is not just an efficient machine, it’s a place where people build their lives, raise their children, age peacefully. It’s this balance between technological innovation and attention to the human dimension that makes our service unique and complete.
